Sound Deadener Question

So I just finished upgrading all my speakers and put my new amps in and everything sounds great, except the midbass from the front components. I'm thinking this is just because my doors aren't sealed so I'm considering applying some deadener to my doors. Thinking about Audio Technix 60mil since it is a pretty solid price. Will adding deadener definitely improve midbass? Right now there is almost none and I don't want to buy it and find out it didn't do anything for my problem. Already have speakers mounted on 3/4" MDF mounting bracket and that didn't do anything.

Would you recommend deadening anywhere else for some extra performance or will just the front doors suffice?

You cant just slap deadener on the doors though they need to be sealed up as best you can...

So taking time to contort the sheets to the door and covering holes well or are there additional things I should do? The only problem spot I can think of getting a good seal on is the door locking mechanism because those need to be free moving.

Edit: Researched a bit and saw people talking about putting sheet metal/MDF/Cardboard over the holes and then deadener, or do you sandwich it? Also is it worth while deadening the inside of the door?

what comp set you have and how much power for them? I've never had impressive midbass out of comp sets and I've tried a bunch of them....

Deadened, sealed, deflex pads. Boston Pro60's, Crystal Mobile Audio, Pioneer, and a few others. NONE ever impressed me. Only strong midbass I've ever had was with the AA poly or CF mids.

It won't hurt to deaden, but don't expect miracles.

Wow really. Why the hype then? I've been worrying myself with it. ALOT of people claim instant improvement....

Sometimes you "want" to hear an improvement so bad after all that $$$ and hard work that you do hear it. Whether it really changed much or not at all...

Also the AA stuff has a LOT of midbass so after running those for years not much sounds that impressive to me, so my opinion might be skewed a little.
