sound dead or kicks

with money in mind, what do you reccommend to do first(or at all for that matter). i am assuming custom kicks would be alot more pricey than a good sound deading job on 2 front doors and trunk, am i right? i am not crazy into ca, just want my stuff to sound best it can without going broke. suggestions...also if im a lazy m fer, how much do you think is reasonable for a shop to charge for only install, not products, on my 2 front doors with inside and outside sound deadened with matt/or liquid.

Deadening the doors yourself would be the most cost effective move in this case. And seeing how deadening doors is a good thing even if you don't have speakers in them, then if you were to change your mind in the future and go with kicks then you didn't waste your money on the deadening.

My suggestion would be to deaden the hell out of your doors yourself and see how your speakers sound then. Like I said you can always go kicks later.

Just don't be intimidated and think you can't deaden them yourself.....its alot easier than you think.
