I paid $40 covered 65% of my doors double layered. I never used anything else but its night and day difference on how my mids sound. If you do a search for Hushmat you'll find that everyone who uses it likes it. It was easy to install i didnt use a roller or any thing, just smooths out with your hand, sticks good. I just ordered *Sound Destroyer* on E/Bay,last night.Never used it/Heard of it.But they offered a "Buy It Now".It is $89.00/Buy It Now,plus $29.99 to S&H.I offered $70.00 and they accepted.It's 50~Mil thick and has Foil I believe a 3~Mil Alum..

It comes in 2/Rolls(18" Wide x33-1/' Long).It's suppose to come w/a Dynamat Roller/Instr. and a Sound Destroyer Utility Knife.

I'm gonna put 2/Layers on the floor of my '98/Saturn~SC2.If there's enuff left...I'll go and do the Inner Door skins w/a layer over the 2 reg.damp mat that's there now.The lady Marissa,is very confident in her products,and her feedback rating is 99%.She also has "80~Mil" Destroyer also. Like most people..I would have liked to have bought Second Skin/Hush Mat/etc..but $$ is Issue,so I went with this.

Go with the Dynamat in stead of the P&S

There are a bunch of other materials you can use. Whatever you do, stay away from asphalt.

Dynamat is gay.

Second skin damplifier is the end of all deadeners, and possibly your wallet.

If youre looking for something cheap, eDead can get the job done...but I would recommend using a damplifier and spectrum spray combo.

FatMat and Sound Destroyer ARE Peel & Seal, or are at least so similar that I can not tell them apart without labels. All are very poor substitutes for real vibration dampers - butyl mat or liquid.

The new eDead is compromised by their decision to use a Mylar constrainig layer.

I am 100% convinced that you will get a better and certainly more durable and reliable result by using less of a high quality product. Covering 1/2 the surface with a better product is more effective than covering it all with crap. Just apply it in strips a few inches wide and leave gaps between them.
