yeah it's not even stable at 2 ohms bridged. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif i'm probably going to go tomorrow and get me an amp or 2 if i can't find one that will do what i want it to do.Originally posted by paikiah isn't peak power RMS X 2?
Also, if it's a cheap amp, then they've probably fed the thing more than 14V and dropped it to 1/2ohm, all while the amp is cradled in icebags. Still would've burnt out quick, but hey, they might've gotten the numbers.
is that true??? because US acoustics like the 600d and 800d use small fuses but they put out the advertised power rating doesn´t they?Originally posted by marauder here's a question i have for ya.
if i have an amp that says ohh lets say 600 watts. it only has a 20a fuse. to me this is a little hard to believe because when you do the math even at 13.8 v it's no where near that. (13.8v X 20a = 276w RMS) now lets turn RMS into PEP (peak) power. 276 X 1.404 = 387.5w far below the advertised 600w. now this is how i would do it is there something special about stereo amps that i don't know about or is this just fishy. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
i have the usx4065 and its a 40 amp fuse. and yes, they underrate their amps.Originally posted by mamey69 is that true??? because US acoustics like the 600d and 800d use small fuses but they put out the advertised power rating doesn´t they?
