sorriest car audio school !!!

first, you don't need to spend over $10,000 to learn about car audio. you wanna learn? go to car audio forums and ask questions. most shops could care less if your M.E.C.P. certified. also, a good car audio shop will not hire someone straight out of any car audio school. go be a grunt and work your way up. coming to this school was a horrible idea. for one, their money hugary. they charge for every little thing. if you don't buy a car alarm from them to install in your own car you only learn the ver basics on car alarms. for a whole week at this school, i didn't do anything while the other students(that were stupid enough to buy an alarm from the school) got to install alarms. the owners of this school are total crooks. when you call the school about the program they lie their TAIL off to get you there. i could go on and on about this but i don't have the time. oh, one more thing. when i called before i agreed to get a loan for this sorry school i asked what tools i'd need to participate in class- they said " you don't need any tools, we have everything here". when i get there, the first thing they pass out to the class is a " tool requirement" for sale sheet. w.t.f.!!! they tell us that the tools are being sold "at cost". total freaken lie. i bought a TPI digital multy meter from them for $399.99. 2 days later i looked online and found the same dmm for $279.99 with a 3 year warranty and free shipping. this school is a total joke. in my class of 12 students, 4 quit and went home. DO NOT GO TO ACOUSTIC EDGE INSTITUTE!!!!!

that can be wrong, I actually got more pay because of it.

again that can be wrong too. I had a lotta shops calling me for a interview, West Coast Customs was one of them...

the school I went too hooked me up with so much and almost held my hand untill I found a shop to work at,

once at a shop, with knowledge of how everything worked, I soaked up all the tricks and some hands on stuff from an experienced co-worker, and was good to go.

my school was paid for after a few paychecks.

I never experienced that school you went too., so im sorry you though it sucked,

Mobile Dynamics was great, and the Snake Pit was even better //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

I went to the AZ location. so I can't compare it to the Canada location, etc.

there was a kid that dropped out of my class too.

he was a dead beat loser kid, that got drunk every night, was not very bright. and will probably not go very far in life.

im sure he gave some bad reviews also.

So what did you do while the others installed alarms that they bought? Were you not allowed to assist them in the install? I would hardly trust most of the information found on forums. While there a quite a few knowledgable people on here, I read through god knows how many threads filled with B.S. Shops have no problem hiring someone just out of school. You don't come out of a school as a top notch installer but having some idea how to install the basics. I went to RITOP in Boston and had an awsome time, didn't want to leave. My class only had 7, 6 of us passed the MECP and the other one, well he shouldn't be allowed to work near any car ever.

;3508725']Wish there was any type of car audio school around here. I'd try it out.
really, the best way to get into the buisness is just get your feet wet. go to shop and tell them you'll start from the bottom and go from there. somebody will hire you. i can't say for all the other schools, but i know, from experience, that ACOUSTIC EDGE INSTITUTE in HOUSTON TEXAS is a giant scam. it was the biggest mistake i ever made concerning my education. they're fvcken thieves... legal thieves. let's put it this way. i'll tell you how bad i hate these fvck's. i went to jail over this crap. i beat tha fvck out of one of the owners. if i hear any of you talk good about that sorry asss school i'll track your ip address and slap the sh!t out of you.... in front of your mama and your girl. i aint playing
