I agree that the boner exists here, but for good reason, the owners of both companies post/posted on here quite frequently. Heck scott even had a few giveaways to launch his brand here.

Everyone has there favorites for there own reasons.

Speaking as one of the few people on this site who has had a 10,000 watt system daily, I have to say it is a bit unneccessary. It sucks trying to drive with mirrors vibrating and blurred vision

yeah, it seems everyone here recommends these two for everything... but I cant lie I pretty much say DD every time. maybe im biased too:laugh:, but until I hear something outperform DD I will just stick with it.

Well if you want to talk best He could do dd z18. but he couldnt power but 1 with 10,000.
There is no sub to rival the Z series by DD in terms of SPL to date....... 15,000 RMS.

Since when does apparent power handling directly correlate to a given SPL output?

I can make a coil that will take 30kw all day every day dead short....but that would be the only point of it, to soak up power, not perform accordingly.

So i need to rate one at 40kw rms right? Then it'd be better?

But then again since when is motor strength the end all be all of spl? Would it change your mind that by actually making a motor structure weaker that it is actually louder on the meter than it is when it's at full motor strength?

People? As in more than one? Dante's setup doesn't translate at all to anything other than his vehicle, which should have been dq'd a few years ago. Id be willing to bet if he took the same amount of time to tune around a different sub, he could get the same or better scores.

Little hint. Mr. Cook has the loudest super street vehicle on the planet. Why isn't he running 99z's? Could it be because it's based upon the install, and not the woofer itself?

Edit: When Dante started doing 180's with one sub people stopped caring about SPL. Because it's nothing more then a mic trick.

Pressurize the ENTIRE vehicle to 3psi or 180dB (in ALL areas) and then your doing something. Not corner loading the mic in a hole.

I'm stuck on RD Audio Alphas. SICK woofer, stupid loud and they are very very accurate.

Four 18" Alphas would take your breath away and put you mid-high 50's on music

Easily

RD 1750.1 or Sundown 1500D to each would be plenty for them

Or Run a RD 3250.1 or Sundown 3000d times four

And run RD Heavyweights and shit yourself
