If you can't find work during the holidays then I don't know how to help you. Walmart is always hiring during this time of the year, and so are delivery places like UPS,Fedex,USPS. The job may not last after the holidays but at least you'll have some money in your pocket and maybe if you do a good job they'll keep you. Where have you applied so far?
Oh and I hope you're not one of those people who just applies at a job and waits for the job to call them back lol. You have to show them you actually want the job. Call them back and check on the status of your application. Or go back and ask to speak to the hiring manager/Human Resources. You have to be proactive to get a job now a days.

atleast someone knows whats up.. I hate stupid people who bring in there applications.. they will bring it in and never show up again.. except maybe to ask for another one and turn it in.. Find out when the manger will be in.. Find out when they are busy... try not to come in during busy hours.. the manager will hate you.. after you get that out of the way.. talk to him be like hey i turned in an application I just came in to check on it and answer any questions you may have for me.. offer to work a trial week for minimum wage if it helps..
