Sony Xplode receiver help???!!!!

I got a Sony Xplode reciever hooked up to my car and it used to come on and at least play a cd or radio but now it only plays for about 5 sec. after the cars on and then no sound comes out but it still plays. What's going on with that and how do I hook up the speakers if I'm not sure which wires go to what? p.s. this is in an 87 Olds. Delta 88 (kinda like a Cutlass) Any help is MUCH NEEDED

As for the wires that lead to your speakers, what you can do is use a 1.5V AA batt and test them out.
