Sony Xplod XS-L121P5 subs

If i get this stereo system, would it be possible if someone could give me step by step instructions on how to install it? This is my first time messing with audio equipment, and i dont want to mess anything up. Thanks, and also, im not sure if i want to build my own box. im sure i could find one on ebay, unless someone has instructions for that, too.

You'll gain all of the info you need from message boards such as this one ...

The box building forum is crawling with idea's and tutorials ... any questions on them, just ask.

Step by step instructions come with some pieces of equipment, though you'll still find lists on sites such as this one.

Thanks for all your help, i guess it was a good thing i dint go out and just buy the xplod stuff.
A VERY good thing ...

I think (*know*) you'd be much happier with something else //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

And the guys who tell you that whatever you get sucks because they don't know what it is ... don't know a thing //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

Do you know any ways to make my stereo and sub more theft-proof? if the only way is a anti-theft system, could you name some brands i should look for? Thanks!

Well an alarm is a good investment ... if you were to look into one, what is your price range, and what features do you want ? Check out http://www.directed.com and look at the Security section.

Common sense is another great anti-theft device ...

Things like ... not putting stickers on your car to advertise that you have one, not bumping in busy parking lots or your neighbourhood ... and in some places, even your school parking lot. Tinted windows give can be positive or negative ... positive in the sense that you can't see your stereo, but negative in the sense that it could possibly attract criminals to your car. Just things like that help. As for the sub box, there's numerous ways ... 'L' brackets are common (watch where you're drilling into). Also seen people use a variety of screws to hold their woofers in place to it will take a little longer to yank them out. Oh, and if you get a detachable face on your head unit, remember, they did make it for a reason //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

A good thief will get your stuff ...

I came up with my own system, similar to the ones already posted:

H/U: Pioneer DEH-P6500

Amp: Pioneer GM-X374 35W x 4 Car Amplifier

Sub: 1 Pioneer TS-W3041DVC

12" 800Watt Dual Voice Coil Sub Woofer with Voice Coil Cooling System

The box is a single port for a 12 in sub. heres the site if your really interested http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=3052544389&category=50568

The speakers are the ones listed by JMac. It totals to 567.88. Does this look good? Thanks for everything.

How many channels are on the amp? Thats a great offer, and id love to buy it from you. Ill talk to you about it later, im at school and im not supposed to be on the internet.
