Sony Vaio MP3 Player better than IPOD?!

lookin for an ipod on ebay and stumbled across this sony vaio. What do u guys think of it and do you think its worth it? What are the differences with this one and the ipod?

It is probably pretty nice. I ordered my Minidisc player from Japan and It's crazy how well built it is. Sony stuff direct from Japan is top notch.

Nice bang for your buck. the Sandisk 1gig mp3 player. i have it and its nice. fm player, eq and some other basic features. bestbuy or curcuit city had a sale on them for 80 bones. check one of them out.

That one is not better than the ipod. It has been released in the states and it has too many problems. It doesn't play in mp3 format. You have to upgrade it for it to play the mp3. Navigation is a hell.

That Viao one wasn't released stateside I don't think... I believe you are thinking of the first sony HD-based player.

All the new Sony stuff..including minidisc are mp3 compatible.

N/m wrong thingy.... it is only ATRAC compatible. Maybe that UK link is the one I was thinking of... ?

....and no, Ipod has locked itself in, has the largest community to do mods too.

Yeah if you want a simple playr the Sandisk is a steal..... just doesn't hold enough yet... need like 10gb SD cards

it will hold about 220 songs that not bad + the fm player and some other things like the eq blah blah blah...lol
