Sony MX-BET2600 power issues?

Ok, my friend has this Xplod unit and I can't figure out what the problem is... I haven't checked any of the wiring behind the HU yet, but he tells me that since he had his a/c fixed, instead of his HU cutting on when he starts his car, he has to hit the power button to turn it on, and instead of it cutting off when he shuts the car off and opens the door, now it cuts off as SOON as he cuts the car off, even if he hasn't opened his door yet... what does this sound like to you guys? I haven't had much experience with HU's yet... especially not sony's...

Ok, anyways, does anyone ACTUALLY know what the problem might be? It's not a problem with the HU it's fine, it has to be a connection or something

check the 12v constant on the rear..

Ok lol, is that a black wire or something? I'm VERY new to installation and HU's sorry man..

it would be yellow, and actually should says 12v on it..

It isnt pick that voltage up to turn itself on when ignition is switched

Ya we took it out and I checked the 12v... connected fine.. dunno.. stumped...
