sony amp headaches

i know this is funny but i unfortunatley had to get one of these "beastly" sony xm1600 gsd amps while waiting to get an ma audio amp. well i have a problem that i cant get sony to give me a a straight answer on. my amp was fine for about a month, then suddenly one day it just went into offset mode. does anyone know what this is and how do i fix it, other than throw the piece of crap amp out of a window??

oooh oooh!! i forgot a very important Sony Xplod repair tool... you should try it, it amy help your problem.....

Check all your connections and fuses. Start from the amp, make sure the amps fuse is o.k., make sure the wires are secure and not touching each other. Then work your way up until you get to the fuse on the main line.

Yeah were j/k around....do what Phat said, when wires touch it doesnt make life any easier

I have the 150x2 xplod. Out of no where went into offset mode and never functioned the same again. It would keep going into offset no matter what I tried. Took the amp back (best buy service plan) and put in a new one exact model, no problems.

I am still amazed people actually buy that shit?! LOL One VERY imprtant tool tho to keep handy for ANY caraudio installation especially with shitty components etc...... BEER!!!!

They really arent that horrible of components. A lot of people tend to exagerate.

at the shop where i worked at we got those **** sony amps in like 2 times a week....biggest complaint offset light or protection won't shut off......well we sent em to sony and a couple guys would bring em back and they were still doing it...one guy brought his back 3 times...solution....use it as a paper weight....i have never seen such a poor quality amplifier....or car audio line....

The ES head units were nice...but $$$. I personally think Sony tries to make all of their products asthetically pleasing, if they concentrated on quality, features, and durability...then they might get recognized.

Not the big fat IF tossed in there. They are too busy with tv's and home shit to be botherd by a market they do farily well on even with returns etc on the car market.
