That's funny because with proper electrical I've watched the zx series play daily as low as half ohm kickers 2 ohm model so Idk man

The owner most likely didnt have the electrical to back it up. still it wasnt a resistive load, i dont think to many of you even understand the difference between a resistive load and a load caused by impedance rise.

Yea and it probably had rise to over 1.5 or closer to 2 .which puts the zx right in its power range

It doesn't matter the point is a quality amp won't go up in smoke in 20 seconds lol at most you may throw protect or get it warm

I never said anything Bout buying or running them or being a expert ..id just like to see some other amps be put to that test And see how many smoke

You don't need a box to cause impedance rise. You get that buy the resistance in the coil and motor when power passes through it.

Maybe I'll grab the zx3000 and put it to the test in a real world scenario. I would like to try one just for the fun of it but not anytime soon, I have to many things on the go right now.

I'd like to see someone put up a "quality" amp on the dyno at half ohm resistive load.. If everyone is so sure, let's see it?? Honestly I've never seen any amp on the dyno at 0.5 certified that was only rated at 1 ohm stable.
Someone send him a sundown saz1500 or IA.. Anyone willing to gamble it won't face the same fate???

That's exactly what I was thinking as soon as I seen the dynamic test.

It didnt catch fire on the dynamic run .it caught fire on certified resistive run.wire one of ur amps to .125 and it will rise to around .5 and see how it does
