i get my permit in 2 weeks.

then my mom said she might let me put it in her car.

but the car already has an alarm system

btw it is a subaru outback legacy 2006 edition so i would have to either put the hu on the dash or in the little storage compartment.

o yea btw i think i got a system for cheaper but just as good or better

is that better than my previous choice?

came out to 558.xx shipped.
Wow get a better amp.

The RF.
Honeslty I dont know why I'm wasting my time, since you just shoot down whatever shit is reccomended and go for the next closest flea market brand.
Just let him get what he wants to since he won't listen. He is far more intelligent at 15 than we will ever be. I think he's destined for Audiobahn.

I will suggest one more thing that you won't listen to. Since you can't do a proper install in your mom's car, get a job and buy better stuff over time and maybe when you get your own car you'll have something really nice. There's a lot of information on here if you're not too stubborn to find it.

so your going to hook it all up in your room //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wow.gif.23d729408e9177caa2a0ed6a2ba6588e.gif to a car battery . how will you be charging the battery?

if you read i apologized and then realized the system was shit. then on the one that tpablazer put i misread one of the links and thought that the 6.5 was subwoofer.

and i know what car im getting either a subaru wrx or th wrx sti.

He is far more intelligent at 15 than we will ever be

wtf is that supposed to mean.

wow.... almost sorry i went to bed. easy on him guys, hes young and trying to get into car stereo...

I had a buddy when I was his age in high school (I was in a electro mechanical engineering program, he was in culinary,) ask m,e if he can hook his amp up to his wall socket cause power is power... So I told him no you cant with a very brief explanation of why not, and made a few joke at his expense. Next day he brings me a blown amp with a cut off lamp cord attached.

Moral of the story, I didn't stop being his friend but I made sure to explain things more next time, rather then make fun of him cause I knew more about the subject then him.

Also when I was Silvers age, I was modifying computer power supplies as cheap, high watt 12V power supplies.

All that said, these guys are right that most the equipment you linked is crap. No offense, but the products just are. It looks like from what I saw you were planing on about 650 and said up to a 1,000. I'll put something together in both price ranges.

so from what I read you really want

mid high amp

radio

cap

enclsure

sub

sub amp

you also had some superfalus crap in there like a very cheap EQ. Usualy, you can save that money and put it into a better radio to get a EQ built in. Also, most decent qualtiy amps, come with a remote bass control knob which is nice.

For the 650.... your simply not going to get all that with good quality components... This is what I came up with for that stuff in a resonable price.

Mid / high amp:

http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_6553_Hifonics+Titan+TXi+4406.html

55 X 4 (can do 2ohm by 4)

Radio:

http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_8567_Pioneer+Premier+DEH-P590iB.html

Built in 7 band EQ. And VERY IMPORTANT 3X RCA outputs (front / rear / dedicate sub) seance your gonna amp everything. Also, built in iPod control for no extra cash.

Subs:

2x

http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_3407_Kicker+05CVR124.html

Good cheap subs, these are last years model, but still new so you get them at a steal, all they changed was the look.

Sub amp:

http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_6556_Hifonics+Titan+TXi+7506.html

HiFonics budget priced gear, good amps, great price per watt, and you will get alot closer to true advertised watts then with cheaper brand.

Wirring Kit:

http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_6371_Absolute+KIT1250.html

Cap:

http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_5979_Power+Acoustik+PCNC-2.0F.html

I just like these and the color scheme matches your amps.

Youll need to buy enough 8ga. as well to run from the dustribution block to both amps and a cap but that covers pretty much everything.

The mids and highs you got are not good, but there better then stock and will hold you till you get some more cash.

All this costs : 780

Thats why people though you were stupid or silly trying to get so much for so little by going with junk brands. These items are pretty much the cheapest I can recomend to somone trying to get so much out of a system. Keep in mind, this also doesnt have a box included.... seriously, if you have a drill you can build your own box, it will be cheaper and alot louder. Lowes or Home depot will usualy do all the cuts for free or next to nothing.

thanks i was gonna get some kickers after i was told everything else was shit. and i didnt need a capacitor just wanted it for looks.

this is another setup i thought would work much better than previous one.

same subs just smaller. 2 or three of these(prolly 2)

http://www.overstock.com/Electronics/Kicker-07CVR10-4DVC-10-Subwoofers/2665363/product.html

same headunit

http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_8567_Pioneer+Premier+DEH-P590iB.html

this amp

http://sonicelectronix.com/item_2204_--+ONE+TIME+SPECIAL--+--+Rockford+Fosgate+P5002.html

this mid/high amp

http://sonicelectronix.com/item_9615_Crunch+PZi+125.4.html

this all comes out to about $620 shipped. is this better?

and then i still have room to add other little things if needed.

i already have one 4 gauge wiring kit so i just need the wires to go from amp to sub.4 or 8 gauge is good right?

have alot of wire for smaller speakers.

gonna build my own box.

Also when I was Silvers age, I was modifying computer power supplies as cheap, high watt 12V power supplies.

and yea thats how had it for a while. i just bought a 350a lawn mower battery to use it for now.

i still use the power supply for the remote line cause the headunti i have now(1998 for f150) they dont have any good wiring directions.

HU: 690UB $230

Front Comps: RSd65cs $129

Subs: CV VMX-12.2 $110

Amp: Cadence TXA-6004 $179

Amp Kit: Knu 4awg 4 ch $50

Sub Box: 1.6cf 3.4" MDF sealed $45 incl shipping

TOTAL: $700

You can get a battery terminal and any other accessoris from www.darvex.com

Use the front channels of the amp in stereo for the RSd comps, bridge the rear channels to power the subs.

If you still want some rear speakers (although I doubt they'll be needed), get some Pioneer REVs later on and run them off the HU.
