sonicelectronix dissapointing anyone else?

Long story short, im getting ready to start my new project. For ease of ordering stuff, i bought practically all my audio equipment through them.

I placed the order on August 22nd, and it didnt get shipped until today, when i called in and annihilated the person on the other end of the phone. They tried to blame it on the order being over 2 grand, and that because of that, they needed to have shipping address verification and proof that i wasnt some fraud using a random dudes debit card.

I called bullshit because this is my 7th order from them, so they know my information plenty well. ya that back order happened to me 2, and they didnt notify me, oh well

but ive ordered probably over 2000 bucks from them and 99% of the time they are fast as hell with shipping

yeah i've spent thousands there, and they've been awesome until now.

I would have been much more happy if they would have just said there was a backordered item (if that was the case) rather than deal with a bunch of bullshit info that they already have (and i know that they already had it)

Sonix and Woofers do NOT stock everything like they say. they buy alot of the gear thru dealers looking to keep the "platinum" dealer discounts. If said delaer doesnt have the said gear they then order it and then it is sold to Sonix or woofers, then shipped to you. Zapco is a prime example, they list most items in stock but 90% of the time they do not have it and it is a hassle and excuse to get it. Pat Zapco on the back for fighting the "system" and protecting dealers. Trust me, been there done that before.

SE is one of the worst companies i've ever dealt with.

A.) They refuse to honor true warranties

B.) Replacement/Repair takes 6-8 weeks

C.) The RMA manager is a cocksucker.

That is a pretty bold statment there.

I have never delt with them, but this just baffles me mind that a big online retailer would buy stolen products to sell over the net, yet offers a warranty to fix them, granted it may take forever.

Maybe they have to get another stolen product to fix it as well.

Why do you say that? Removed serial numbers? Probably just something the dealers they buy from do so that it can't be traced back to them.

ive purchased through them. blown subs and gotten them to be replaced within that day. they are actually authorized dealers for some of the stuff they carry, and can get your warranty granted right away. good shipping. however, they are not all the only ones with the backorder problem. i ordered an amp a few weeks ago through a different company who said they had 5 in stock. 8 bus days go by and no sign of an amp. so i called them, and they say its on backorder. i was furious to not get an email telling me so. checked every other internet retailer and the amp was backordered through them as well. lots of these companies sell before the product touches their warehouse.
