It's only a 3" coil (assuming a round wire copper...possibly an aluminum..) and no special motor tooling or anything else to aid cooling...

All they know is that it may or may not be louder in the install that they tested it in...

A true 2500 watts would be something with no impedence rise...

Only thing that i could see taking it with no problem would be one of the 4hp subs (team rf, possibly the soundstream xxx) that have the big flat wire aluminum coil...some have upwards of 12 layer coils...

But then again why do you need gobs of power? Why not use a more efficient design/woofer with far less power and have the same if not more output?

to be honest i couldnt tell you i have a Q 12" woofer, and i did a side by side with lilgator to his 2 12" re ses and a orion 1200d amp, and There was a huge noticable difference, in spl amounts, both boxes tuned the same and everything...his sounded good but the Q 12" just got insanely deep, and it was really loud but i dont have expereience with the sx...so sorry bro //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

hey bro, go to my forums i got pics of it....http://www.teamsploud.com and you can go to A. the subwoofer section and check it out in there then second, were it says my system edited thats the post by me with pics...makes it alot easier or i could link if youd like, i wish i could do a head to head with a sx just so we could see results with same subs and what not, i did a 148.1 with my 1 12" but that was just throwin everything togehter my buddy just bought his termlab cost him 630 shipped //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/omg.gif.05aa02c3095d6ce9338996654eca0863.gif and yeah were going to play with it the next couple nights and with my new box ill let you know bro...so check it out.

Thanx to both of you, niko you have a 2300w runing your Q ? what kind of car do you have ? how big of box is it in ? what is it tuned too ? Does the Q just have one magnet or what ?
