Does anyone know why prices have jumped? All of RF's and ID's stuff seems to have had a nice increase.

Yeah I noticed that too. Especially the Power Series subs. The T0, T1 and T2 have went up a lot. The ID stuff has went up quite a bit as well. I'm sure it's the manufacturer's, not sonic.

With everyone going budget, budget, budget it's getting harder for audio companies to stay competitive. I remember someone had to save a long time to put a nice system together. And I'm sure you, being a seller, knows the hard fact that no one wants to spend money anymore. I keep thinking where's the end? How cheap can you get? It's actually kind of sad...

Yeah, you would be very surprised at profit margins, price for shipping cuts deep into it.

What happened is those companies (along with others) cut down on the discount given (for whatever reason) and probably threatened legal action.

They've been known to purchase products as export (so you get a discount as the manufacturer doesn't warranty exported products) then selling it within the United States for less than what some dealers get their equipment for. Hence why you never get a manufacturer warranty, only a 'sonic' warranty, if they even have the product in stock.

That's another issue! The "product in stock" thing. Seems like no matter what you want from Sonic, Onlinecarstereo, Wooferetc., et al, it seems like they don't have it and try to steer you towards something else. In Sonic's case it's usually their NVX line. I'm not saying it's not a good line but they're definitely pushing it. So it makes one wonder...

General economics, as cost to produce goes up, price of the product is gonna go up, too.
