well if you make a 1.5 x 1.5'' brace that will take like .08-.15 cu ft i would estimate, like i said just wait untill you try it out

I say you dont need to brace at all.

The box is relativley small, and the port itself acts as sort of a brace.

If you must, threaded steel rods is the best.

I think the box looks pretty good. But I dont know shi t about boxes. So I dont know why I am posting this. Oh well keep up the good work.
