Something's wrong! Bass lowering by itself

I just upgraded my amp power wire to a 4 gauge kicker brand ofc a couple days ago. Just today my bass was hitting good and normal, after about 20 minutes the bass was about 75% of what it was (instantly). Then a couple seconds less and less. I turned the head unit off for 5 minutes and it was fine for 5 minutes then the problem repeated. The amps were hot to the touch. Not sure if it matters but my head lights dim a lot. Anyone have any ideas?

Yes, that would help. Do the "big 3" and don't remove any stock wires.

Thanks. Sorry but I'm a noob, can u elaborate a little more please on how to do that? Do u mean leave the stock wire from the alt to the battery in place and just add a 4 gauge with it from alt to batt? Or??

Add wire from alt to batt +, batt - to ground, and engine block to ground. Leave all stock wires too

Although big 3 will help I don't think that's ur problem if it gets 75% quiter and less n less. Sounds like the amps got a problem.
