I don't understand how moving 1 cable would fix that problem? You need an additional cable to wire both coils..

Here's what you need to do. Disconnect all that shit you see in the pic and connect the positive wire from positive on voice coil # 1 and the negative wire from the negative from coil #2. Then use those supplied jumpers and connect the negative from coil 1 to the negative on coil 2 and the positive from coil 2 to the positive on coil 1. hope this makes sense.

Polarity would just cause a 'hump' in the wave compared to the other speakers. It shouldn't cut the amp off

I read that 5x and still confused lol.. the sub is wired correctly so no need to take unplug it all..

OK.. the jumpers are correct so leave those as is, but you need 1 positive on 1 coil and 1 negative on the other...

You're describing a Parallel.. Which is what's in the photo. I had to look again, too.
