you sure it is a dual 4 ohm? if you pull the sub out should say model on back of it

try ditching the cap,there was a guy on here awhile back that had a similar problem,he tried it without the cap and it WORKED.

Just tell me the model number on the sub (1022 or 1042) or look at what the Ohm is. NOT the plug count

I can almost bet its a dual 2 ohm, and the shop wired it to 1 ohm. As far as I know the PDX isn't stable at 1 ohm...?

No pdx runs @ 2 or 4ohm.
