ok, just put my system in. amp turns on, no protect. voltage is at 12.6. aq2200d, two hdc310's. i turned subwoofer on HU all the way to 15. if i turn the gain ALL the way up, i feel a very slight movement in the subs. obviously i didnt keep it all the way up. i dont have the bass control knob connected, i have to run the wire. would that make a difference? also, at what approx~ should i have hpf and lpf?

No the bass knob makes no difference. And you should only be using a low pass filter, there's probably a switch to choose between HPF and LPF? If your cd player has a LPF filter built into it and you have the amp set on HPF you could be filtering out the entire signal, lol.

I'm not familiar with the amp though, take a pic of your settings on it, that would help.

You sure there isn't a way to disable one of them? It would help if you took a pic of the settings man...I'll see if I can find one online

You sure that thing has a HPF?

SSF = ~30hz (assuming you tunned to 40hz)

LPF = ~80hz

Your voltage is 12.6 with the car on? It should be around 14v.

For your troubles, is there a switch for input voltage? Are your RCA's good? Sounds to me like you have a low RCA voltage.

read the manual, it maybe the key...

Your SSF can be 5-10hz below tuning without problem.
