something wrong in the install

well i have 2 arsenals and a pg tantrum 1200.1 to power them by just enough. Now i would be wiring both togther, to 4 ohms. The amp does about 1500 watts and thats a good 750 each. Well I installed everything and there is litte output. stupid question but there are speaker wire 4 (2 pos, 2 neg) terminals on the tantrum. i put the two positives on the 1 terminal and the two negatives on 1 neg terminal. so am i really giving each subs 375 watts? i didnt do the best sanding job on the planet for the ground bolt, could this dramatically lower the input? Also, if the rca's are put the wrong spots, there wouldnt be any signal coming out of the amp right? ive done a couple single sub systems in the past and but im really cant think straight for a while now and this is giving me a headache:crazy: . Thanks for any input that could help.

I bet a lot of people have already made a bunch of threads but i just way to tired to take another hour searching.

swallowing my pride but by any chance would anyone know how to wire 2 dvc 4 ohm subs to a tantrum 1200.1 to create a 4 ohm load? the amp is already parallely wired internaly.....

wire each coil in series then the subs parallel.

Wiring the coils parallel and the subs in series leaves you with an easy option of changing the wiring to parallel for a final load of either to 1 or 4 ohms, but introduces the problem of your subs being slightly out of phase if you wire them in series.

so to wire the coils in series would mean, just to run one wire from the pos to neg terminals once on each woofer. And then to wire the subs in parallel just use the same terminal for 2 pos wires and then a seperate terminal for both negative wires? if so this is what i did, and got very low input.

there's a chance, i guess, of them being outta phase.

I lay mine out side by side and do it, just to be sure.

out of phase as in wired incorrectly somewhere? man... my speaker amp just stopped working on me so im going to have to focus on that first. thanks for the input.

im pretty sure that you dont have to use all 4 of the terminals on the amp.

haha, yeah i used the rf woofer wiring wizard to do it. yeah ill just use 2 of the terminals. thanks for all the input.
