Something wrong here

Ok...it seems after everytime it rains my car adds on another electrical problem lol. Yesterday it was raining all day and I went to get into my car to notice my speaker amp going into protect mode. Sub amp is fine. I also started hearing cracking sounds from my right rear speaker at low volumes when the amp would get out of protect mode. This morning I went out again to test the system and it still goes into protect mode with that speaker crackling. So I decided to unhook the right rear speaker and now the amp plays fine...no more going into protect mode. I try to hook the speaker back up and I get nothing....no sound...I play around with the wires and I get sound for a second(still with the crackling) and it goes back out and 3 mins later the amp goes back into protect mode. Is my speaker gone or is there something wrong with the amp?

check if the speaker wire is pinched or something. any pics of your setup?
