something not too interesting (door deadening)....

Use sheetmetal like I did, screw it it in and then use silicone around the edges and then deadener over that.

The sheetmetal looks nice Nexson. I prefer that, or wood, to other methods (like the tape) because it also serves the purpose of stiffening the entire door carcass. But, it is more work, that is the trade off.

 
yea, I never really thought of the wood method, I'm sure it will work just as well, the reason why I liked the sheetmetal is because it is bendable to fit the contour of the door and when I drilled the screws into the door, the sheetmetal was able to take the screw going through it and tightening into it, whereas you can only use about 1/4 wood I would assume and that may split when tightened since it is thin, the sheetmetal needs to be thin enough to be cut with the heavy duty hardware metal scissors, but one drawback i remember is that sheetmetal is expensive.
