I go to Clemson. And Im not saying that he's right, but all the logic seemed reasonable and he's a very nice guy(not crazy or a stoner or anything else). I have no reason not to believe him. I'll probably look into it more later on.

I really like the idea of the Oil Shale though seeing as how Im becoming either a Geological, Industrial, or Mechanical Engineer. Not sure yet. Thats what Industrial and Geological Engineering pretty much are, in a way.
