Somebody Help

Hey. I recently purchased Infinity Kappa 62.5i speakers for my boat. I made this decision after reading many reviews on its strong bass output. After installing these speakers with my Alpine CDM-7874 HU, I was disappoiunted. There was almost no bass output at all. I don't know If I hooked up something wrong and would appreciate any help on how to fix this if at all possible. Thanks. -Ak

get an amp for the speakers. Then they will put out bass, but not as much as i think you expect. Get a smaller sub, like a 10, or maybe even a 12. My friend put one in the bow of his boat and it sounded pretty decent.

The strange thing is, my stock speakers had more bass than the kappas, and the stock speakers were only 30 watts max. I know I wont feel chest pounding bass, but shouldnt there be more then the junk stock speakers? Could it be that i accidently connected positive/negative ends incorrectly? Would that cause the problem?

i suggest that you go with a diferent speaker. Infinity is known for crisp imaging, not extensive bass. just ask some of the senior members, they should know which 6.5" speakers give good bass.
