Somebody help me figure out these "ohm(s)"

Just blew my Image Dynamics ID10 ...again..i dont know what it is but this is my second one. I think its the amp, but money's tight right now. So im thinking just buy another sub and get me by for another few months. I am looking at the Resonant Eng RE10 sub. The specs of it were pretty close to the ID10 which by the way i loved!

Anyways my amp is Alpine PDX4.150. I dont really know the specs as far as ohm goes...Never really understood it to begin with. But i know i needed a dual 2ohm sub for this particular amp.

Will the PDX4.150 (4 x 150w) amp be able to power the RE10. The other problem is the RE10 only handles 175watts. and the ID10 handled upto 400w.

Pls tell me if there is a way to wire the amp in order for the RE10 to work???

Yessir. 2 chan to the fronts. and 2 channels bridged to the sub.

My gains for both is pretty much half way for both.

Ok, you had to be clipping the sub(too much gain). I have an ID 12 and am giving it almost 1000 watts in a small sealed box. What size enclosure do you have it in?

its in a .8 sealed box..
