Yep...

He would fall asleep at any given moment no matter what he was doind. In his case he was playing outside and just crashed into the ground into a sleep...

My sister has mild narcolepsy. She will be sitting there playin with her 2 kids and *BAM*.....she's out like a light. It has never happened when she is driving or at work. When she sits down at home, a family member's or a friends house she just...crashes. She wakes up after a few minutes, but its really weird. Especially when your in the next room talkin to get and all of a sudden she doesn't respond. Ya look back into the room and sure enough, she's sawin logs.

Is it possible to wake them up or do they just come out of it themselves?
