I am looking to buy one of these, but first I wanna know how big of a box I would have to build so this looks like a good places to come for info.

If it matters for the box design: I am only thinking I will use it around 1-1.5k Watts Daily, but I like to have the power for the fully 4k.

All I listen to is rap and old metal/classic rock.

I want it to hit notes properly and hard, I don't really know the differnce between ported and sealed? I had a look at the sticky sealed gets better lows and smaller room but worse quality? not really interested in having lower quality notes or did I understand it wrong?

I have a Suburban so the truck/rear room in plenty, however, I would like to fit the amp(s) and batteries in the rear also, but I know this is probably not possible, but what do you guys think?

Around 6-10 ported. Id prob stay on the higher end of that, the SOLO X 18s like big boxes. Something around 8 cubes (net) ported would probably be good. Also itd be wise to brace the box extremely well as i believe those subs weigh about 100 lbs.. double maybe triple baffle, some all-threads etc. Tuned around mid 30s..Supposably they work well around 32-35 hz or something like that.

i have a design that is 51" X 21.75" X 21" if you are interested.

iirc its tuned to 33Hz or 31Hz and 8ft^3. i did a 143 on music with 1K rms and no deadening with it

I actually have little idea if that is good or bad, do you have a blueprint of the design you could PM me?

And yes the sub weights in at like 163 Pounds(or around there) I think.

I had a look at some of the suggested you gotta seal off like half of the box or something like that?

The trunk space I got(I got the spare in there still with all this room, move that up to my middle seat and I can probs fit an amp there)

I have 30" * 52" for the base and the height is 23"(I want it level with the seat not blocking my view, this I can increase a bit maybe to 24.5") If I calculated it right, this gives me 8.75 Cubic Feet correct? Do you guys think I can make this work?\

Oh wait I think I did that wrong? I'm getting like 20 Cubic Feet now?

So a square box something like 27.5" * 27.5" * 23"* Sound good?
