solid amp 1000 rms

looking for a solid amp:

Want to buy brand new

Do not want you to try to sell me yours...

I just want a solid amp that will be ran at 2 ohm 1000 watts rms..

please suggest anything you would buy yourself, good dependable amp that will last a while.

my budget is $400, under is good.

Kicker ZX1000.1. It does a solid 1000watts RMS at 2ohms and can be bought for under $400. This amp is actually underated, it will do more than rated and they are VERY durable.

If it was me and was gonna put good money and planned on keeping it for a long time I would get the ZED Minotaur, it don't get no better than that, that's the sweetest looking 1k 2 ohm amp I've seen and built by one of the best amp builders.

Otherwise if I had a budget and wanted new with warranty I would get a hifonics brz 1600.1(210$) or ppibk1800.1(240$). That jbl Tenacious mentioned is pretty sweet too, I had an older model jbl Gto and those amps get down as well, they'll do the job just like kicker for less$$$

ive looked at the ppi before, im only running 4 gauge and don't plan on putting bigger wire in, could I run that amp and be safe?

is a rf t1000bd-cp over kill? on the wattage

also this is for a 10 in fi audio x 10 the new one, liking the suggestions, and I have a distortion detector.

The rf is a solid amp as well, but you could get the ppi for less than half and will do justice on that single fi 10, unless your getting it used for cheap then I would go with the rf. you could run 4 gauge on 1000wrms just make sure it's a good quality ofc, also upgrade to a good agm starting battery and you should be fine.

The jl does 500 at 4,2,1 ohms just like the rf does 1000 at 4,2,1 ohms. The kicker does peak power at 2 ohms and aren't 1 ohm stable. The ppi will do 1 k at 2 ohms and if you plan to upgrade in the future and add another 10 you could drop it to 1 ohm and push 1800 watts to the pair and push them well over rms.

the rockford wont do 1000 at 4ohm but at 2 and 1 it does close to the same power but only the cp models tho and the kicker makes rated rms power at 2ohm not peak power and the op stated he wanted a 2ohm amp so the rockford "cp model" and the kicker will be good choices

Yes they are good choices but he could do the same with the ppibk1800 for less $$$, for a high dollar amp the zed Minotaur is an excellent choice over the kicker and Rockford

The OP said under $400, what is the Zed about $600+? You can get the Kicker for about $310.
