So I previously posted that I was going to run an IDMAX 12, and I was looking for amp suggestions.....

Sorry! Now I've decided on running an RE XXX, and I'm looking for a little more power than previously looking for.....now about 1200 watts of power at either 2 ohms or 1 ohm, I'll order the voice coil configuration according to the amp I choose. I don't want to power it with more than about 1300 watts because my electrical system is all stock...

I have a loooooooong list of amps that I've considered, and I have no idea which one to choose. I'm hoping you guys can help me par them down. I'm looking to spend under $400, preferably under 350 or so, but if I'm getting a reasonably better amp for closer to $400 then I'll go for it.

So, let the amp-choosing begin!

Elemental Designs Nine.1 Subwoofer Amplifier $280 (From a friend, like new!!!)

PLANET AUDIO TT1250 MONO BLOCK 1250W RMS AMP $290

Visonik V700HC 1400 Watt A/B Mono Amplifier $200

DLS Ultimate A6 $390

JBL GTO1201.1 1200 WATT $290

Phoenix Gold Tantrum 1200.1 $???

Cadence Z7000CF $350

AUTOTEK MX-2000 MONO BLOCK AMP AMPLIFIER 1200 WATTS $250

DEI DIRECTED AUDIO 1100D CLASS D MONO BASS AMPLIFIER $230

ROCKFORD FOSGATE X7 $330 refurbished

Right now I'm thinking my first choice is the elemental nine.1, then the autotek, then the fosgate x7, mainly because I'm not familiar with the rest of em.

Let's hear your thoughts, hopefully this isnt redundant //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/thumbsup.gif.3287b36ca96645a13a43aff531f37f02.gif

The x7 birthsheets I have seen puts rms closer to xxx rms at about 1700-1800. x7 is also 2ohm stable so unless you can wire to 2ohm that amp is not available for use. RF also makes a x6 which is around 1200 rms. If you are looking for a good deal go with the Hifonics Brutus bx1605d its supposed to be 1600w but is overrated and really puts out close to 1200-1300 watts only 215 on ebay new. I also just got a xxx but I want to put about 1500-1600 watts to mine. Anyone have any suggestions... ED Nine.1 would be nice for 280. Let me know what you go with. Later E
