So which manufactures actually put out rated power?

I'm in a delima here. I'm in need of some amplifiers to drive my front stage and my sub. I need one 2 channel, one 4 channel and a mono block. With all the mediocre companies out there, its hard to weed through the BS power ratings. Along with that, I'm not quite sure how much power I'm going to need. The more the better, but I don't exactly have money to drop on 3 audison, zapco, arc audio, etc amps. What I'm going to do is restrict my selection to those manufactures that actually produce amps that make their rated power and let my wallet decide which is better.

In the end, the install is a much larger factor in sound quality than the brand of amps you buy.

So, which manufactures have a reputation for making rated power at no more than 0.5% THD?

Thanks guys.

Zapco

Arc

Audison

Sinfoni

Orion

Hifonics

Rainbow

US amps

Soundstream

Zed Audio

Those are the only ones that came to mind when I searched. Its a wide range of manufactures. I'm only looking at the highend models because of their high power capabilities and because I know they don't BS anything. If I can spend 1000 dollars on all 3 amps instead of 1000 on one amp, I'd much rather do that.

Ok, I'm amased a list of 2 channel amps that will fit my power needs:

Soundstream

MA700.2

TRA800.2

XTA880.2

PCA2.760

US Amps

MD23

XT-1600.2

Hifonics

ZXi 1006

Zed Audio

The Deuce

Rainbow

KW 2270

Elemental Designs

NINe 2x

Of these, which ones would you think be the best?

Of those options, I would personally take the Deuce.
Though, I would add these to your list;

http://www.cardomain.com/item/JBLPX6002

http://www.cardomain.com/item/KIC06ZX5502

http://www.cardomain.com/item/ROCT3002 (yes, only rated 50w x 2 @ 4ohm...but RF built "6db of headroom" into the amplifier on purpose....thus, they average about 4x more power output than rated).
Thanks

About the RF amp, eventhough it has 6db if headroom, does that mean its designed to continously put out 100 or 150 watts without fail?

Another company you might want to look at is Autotek. We sell both US Amps(Mostly the XT line)and Hifonics(the titans all the way to the XXs), they are good amps but we have had far better luck with the new Autoteks. We compete with the Autoteks and have gotten better numbers on the TL with MM3000.1s then with Hifonics XX Cyclopses(4000rms) in the same setups. We also used to sell and use Soundstream 2 years ago, I cant even describe the horrible luck we had with them, needless to say we no longer carry soundstream.
