so, whats the loudest box?

no, thats the complete opposite, the box is 90% of how loud, or how good a woofer will sound.
some people really have no idea.
While the box does determine how well a woofer CAN perform, its still down to the equipment itself to actually live up to it's standards.

You can't expect a $20 pyle woofer to outperform something of higher quality given the optimal box for both and optimal power for both.

What 01xtreme posted is just as relevant of a question as yours. You can't make one generalization for every situation out there.

You must not have read what I said. the box is 90% of how loud/good a sub is/sounds. There for it is important to taylor your box to the sub being played in. some subs react better in sealed boxes, or ported boxes, or bandpass boxes...etc. therefore saying 1 box above all others is loudest is completely stupid.

umm... lol, I think you missed the point here completely...
I'm asking about different enclosures, thats the whole point! I'm saying the vehicle/driver dont matter regarding my question. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif
the best box for the application relies on more than just who has hit what with what subs. we need to know the sub to tell you which box is the loudest. theres is no loudest box, its how the sub performs in the box you ****in idiot havent you understood that after all these posts?

if you have an 8" sub it would get loudest in about a cube, if you had a 15" sub it may get loudest in 4 cubes, but if you put an 8" sub in a 4 cube box, well.. Lets just say you built yourself a coffee table. sub is completely relevant! I didnt read past post 5, so if this was already established then have fun at the fair.

I think you should have gathered a couple things from this thread:

These guys and I hate broad questions with implied fallacies.

There is no best box.

There definitely is no best box for a general situation without considering application, goals, woofers, vehicle, etc. (How the hell are we supposed to tell you what box you should build if you don't even tell us the size of the woofer?)

And why do you argue with the help that is being offered? If we tell you we need more information or something you believe is not right, why do you not even consider it or tell us we are completely wrong?

Just wondering.
