extending mounting depth...

ok so i have a box now that currently houses 15" Sx....im thinking about testing out one of those forum boner hdc3's to see what all the hype is about..anyways my enclosure has a mounting depth of 8.75 max and the sub is 8.875..so a tenth of an inch..it may or may not sqeeze in there but the motor would prob be touching the chamber..how could i extend the the mounting depth..i know that i cant do anything inside the box but what about maybe a thin space or something like that for the ring around the woofer..any suggestions..i mean its not alot tha i have to make up for i think i can get it to work some how

cut out a spacer with some 3/4 mdf problem solved
