so what's the difference in the solo Xs?

while i am on here, decided to ask and see if anyone knew what was different from the old solo x to the new one? I know they have different softparts now but how about the motor/basket BAMs? I had asked someone on here prior to posting and they thought they were the same, but maybe someone can tell me really if anything is different.

i dont think the basket is any different. if anything, probably just stronger but i doubt they made a radical change like they did on the 08 L7. eww

internally they should be identical... while there could be some slight cosmetic differences

the main difference with the new ones is the Solokon cone... the old ones had a problem with shattering

so the motor/baskets are the same? i remember when they come out all this talk about them being different.... figures lol.

so in theory you could just buy the new spairs and put them in the old solo BAMs and have a new one? makes me wonder why they have such a cost difference in those models.. lol

yes... they made a big deal about making sure everyone knew they would work together

3 of the old 18s, 6 of the old 10s, 1 12.

though not all at one time.

I keep coming back to them, just a sub I have always liked.

i'd love to use a pair of the 18s in my celica but i don't think they'd like the power of the stets daily...lol so i'm going with 12s to better distribute it. A solo x.. is a solo x

to the top one more time, just incase anyone thinks they have heard different on the motor being not the same. Though it looks to be the same from current opinions.
