so whats the best type of Electronic crossover???

with all the internal crossovers in amps, would it actually be benificial to add an external electronic crossover ?

well i have a one of the lanzar optiX-3b. 3 way electronic crossover with sub control and remote. and it makes my higher hz comes in punchier. and is louder than the amp alone, giving me more adjustments. but the knob went out on it and im wondering if there are really good crossovers i can replace it with.
