so, usb is louder than aux??.......

I just bought a KDC-X492 Excleon Kenwood, with the USB and Aux right in front. Is 4 volt pre-outs and is compatiable with BT, HDradio and Sirus. I have just a nano ipod, but just plug it in the front as long as you have a usb cable from iPod and bingo, bango.

I have yet to install it, but will do so this weekend. I bought it off crutchfield as I needed most the stuff they give to you for free in dash kit, wire harness and what not.

170 through them, or 130 off most other sites, but no dash kit, harness and what not.

I am going to this from an 880 prs though, lol!

That deck was to much for me though. I like simple.

please do. i was looking at this deck also, but after reading the posts in various threads in hre, i came to the conclusion that JVC was beneath me. please give a n aux review and maybe i can change my mind. i really like the idea of an aux and usb right in the front

Yeah this deck I have has everything, besides the EQing options I had with my 880, which honestly was way over my head. Main reason I got rid of it, well that and trying to convince myself to get out of audio, lol! That took all of 2 weeks on a factory setup!

Will let you know, but not 100% sure if I will get to it. I am going to start to deaden my front doors tomorrow. I just can't wait! Insert sarcasm here!

u install it yet??
Yes I did!//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

As of yesterday. I will have some pics up later as well in the review I did for my Pioneer Premier TSD-720c's review in the speaker section if you want to peep it later on this afternoon eastern time. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

So far it seems very basic, compared to my 880, which duh! I like the simplicity of it and it looks better overall the the Pioneer as it matches my interior better. I have only had about 3 hours of play on it and have yet to try my hand with the iPod playing through it, so will do so later on and come back here to let you know how it works. Seems like the buttons are a little harder to control and the remote is nice, but have to point it right at the deck, which I didn't have to do so with my 880. Sound quailty is very good, it still has 4 volt pre outs, which is always nice, but not needed. I just like the option myself.

Things I like-simple, nice looking deck, easy to use, sound quailty is as good as my PRS was. (I do have a better componet set though)Very cheap as they can be had for as low as 110 from certain sites, has front Aux and iPod direct connect, which means as long as you have USB cord, plug and play it through deck, BT ready, Sat ready, HD ready and 3 pre-outs.

Things I don't like-Can be a bit bright at night, remote don't seem to pick up right away, knobs are a little hard to get used to(maybe its because they are new?) umm thats about it really.

Nice deck at great price. I recommend it for certain and remember I am coming from an 880 PRS Premier. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/eek.gif.771b7a90cf45cabdc554ff1121c21c4a.gif

There are almost unlimited songs you can put on the PNR USB in. I have a customer that bought a 4 port USB hub and ran 2 other 150 gb HDD's... And yes Pioneer always gives an extension. (I install 2-3 a day.)

Hey Adio, I listened to the iPod on my Kenwood x-492 and it works awesome! Almost as good as my CD's. Just make sure you leave the pod on flat on the eq, lol! At first I hooked it up and sounded like shit, I was great........got this deck for it. 160 bucks down the shitter! Well got it dialed in and wokrs flawlessly! I have to use it more as I am still playing around with it, but changes songs really quick and just overall love this deck!

I actually enjoy it more than my 880, lol! Call me crazy, I don't care!

Actually, I just realized I have the 6900ub. If you want I could make a video of usb load times in a few days.

Just to note, when I plug in a new usb, it takes about 5-10 seconds to load. After that, flipping through folders and songs is instant; even when powering up fresh.

LOL me to put the flash drive in and said "this sounds like Sh**" then I realized I had to adjust all of the settings all over again:)

Thats weird... I also have the 6900ub and it takes about 5-10 sec to load up and start to play. I haven't really noticed a difference in load times from a new plug in and one that was already in there. I'm only using a 2gb one atm. Need to buy a 16 or bigger //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
