So these 2 teenagers tried to break into my house last night.

On a side note, I don't think there is a sound in the world, more frightening to anyone breaking into your house then a shell being chambered. Because they know they now have a shotgun pointed at them.

congrats on being ****in bad *** but now be extremely careful and watchful because you said he was carrying and they will prolly be out quickly and they will prolly be mad just be careful
i dont know dude. if i got a shot gun pulled on me like that

1) yes i would be pissed as hell and wish i could **** him up

but

2) id still be scared to know he has a shotgun and if i **** up, im as good as dead.

a) You're not big because you're "bucking up" to me on a message forum.b) You smoke pole for TRYING to act hard on a message forum.

c) You'll do life for shooting/killing someone for trying to take your AC.. patna.

I don't know what kinda person you are outside of these forums, but I also couldn't care less..

kthxboy.

in florida you can kill anyone that makes you feel threatened for your life.

man walking towards you with a rock for example.

new law passed like a month ago.

taking AC > rock in hand.

maybe they were coming in to **** my wife and kill me, who knows?

i ain't really worried about them getting to me in my home.........i'm pretty well protected. Also, Ohio is a conceal and carry state now so i have my permit and i pack a .357 sig even if i'm going around the corner to blockbuster. My wife packs a .357 mag S&W 6 shot revovler.

Does anyone know where to find the information on the laws of self defense. In south carolina, I THINK you have the right to kill someone that is on your property and breaking into your house if you warn them first.
I took a concealed weapons course with my dad. If they are in your house, you can shoot them.

Louisiana is the same way thanks to former governor Mike Foster. Maybe he and your governor Bush have been chatting or something....

Additionally here you can shoot to kill if someone tries to carjack you - also thanks to former Gov. Foster.

Perhaps J31Rob's statements hold true in Indiana. As I am not a resident of that state I neither know nor care. But he should keep his trap shut about things he is obviously misinformed or simply uninformed about before he goes shooting off at the mouth making statements of fact that are so far removed from reality that they honestly do not bear further discussion.

I dont believe this for a second. The person carjacking you has to use lethal force, or at least have a weapon with them. If someone grabs your shirt through the window there is no frickin way you have the legal right to shoot to kill.. UNLESS MAYYYYBE they start to hit you, then you have self defense at least

.357 is a big gun for a woman to carry...

Chevy?

My mom, who is 4'10" and weighs around 97lbs or so dripping wet keeps a Ruger Security Six .357mag revolver, 4" barrel, in her van.

Daddy offered to get her a smaller frame semiauto of some sort and she informed him she prefers the magnum. To directly quote her, "I'd rather have something I won't have to shoot them more than once with to get them to stop doing whatever caused me to pull it out in the first place."

Passed here as well. If you are threatened, pop a cap biotch. Living in the country is GREAT. I havn't had a problem with anyone else since that last time. I also go outside and shoot every weekend with the boys. We got enough to start WWIII.

You are allowed to believe or disbelieve whatever you like but that doesn't detract from the inarguable fact that you're wrong.

It's part of the "Castle Doctrine" currently in effect in our state. Should someone break into your home and you find them within the interior of the dwelling they do not have to threaten you with force or a weapon of any kind. All they have to do is simply exist within the confines of your home and use of deadly force is allowable - period.

When Foster was governor he expanded said castle doctrine to include your vehicle. In our state it is considered an extension of your home and any and all laws applicable to home defense are also applicable to defense of your well-being while in your vehicle. They do not have to have a weapon - they do not have to have hit you or injured you in any way. If they open the door and for any reason give you the impression that their intent is to relieve you of your vehicle then you can shoot to kill.

The same set of legal statutes is also why there is no such creature as a concealed weapon in a vehicle in the state of Louisiana (provided that the weapon is somewhere in the car but not anywhere on your physical person - for that a proper permit is required). Here you can have a weapon stuffed under the seat, jammed in the glovebox, hidden underneath your air cleaner under the hood if you like - and so long as you are not a convicted felon, are above the age of 21, and the gun isn't stolen you cannot be charged with carrying a concealed weapon in our state for having it hidden somewhere in your car.

believe it or not....most professional instructors will say that a woman should have a heavy revolver. Her's doesn't have as much kick as a longer barrel .357 does or as much as you'd expect. 4" barrel

here in Ohio, you have to inform an officer of the law that you are packing or that there is one in your vehicle if you get pulled over. Also you can transport a weapon without a permit as long as the bullets are safely secured in a different part of the car. i.e gun in the trunk bullets must be in the cabin or glove box.

It's the same here - if asked by a sworn peace officer you are obligated to tell them of the presence of a weapon and allow them to temporarily secure it for their protection if they so request but it isn't unlawful to carry it in the car wherever you see fit to - again provided the weapon isn't anywhere hidden on your person if you do not have a current and valid permit allowing you to do so.

Before I got my CCW (non-resident FL permit FTW) when I got pulled over for (insert random reason here) they always asked if there were any weapons in the car and I always told them yes. They would remove the weapon, run the serial number to see if it had been reported stolen, and then returned it to me after their little checks came back negative. I don't get fussed about a cop doing their job - if I was them I would want to know if there were anything in a vehicle I was stopping that could potentially ruin my day as well...
