dang Scott get's crazy mad props for making a sub that can take 10kw and doesnt even have a tiny burn mark on the coil. The spider seems a little ripped tho, duno if thats u guys or happened to the sub during the massive bumpage.

yea 15 hz below tuning and 10 kw = a little bit of damage...

i would like to point out that the sub took the 10kw fine and i highly doubt we could have thermally failed the driver lol

Chad, you're going to have to do a better job at coordinating a time for me to be up there. Posting on the forums does not work for me. Call me.

Let me see if saying this again might help: I have a W7. We can test it like we tested most of the drivers (i.e., without having to watch over it like a hawk). I also have re-cones so we can beat on the Mag's a bit more than we usually do.

gold explorer with 2 splx12's and 2 strapped xxx6500 amps

i 4got his name and we talk all the time.....he has a 4th order bandpass now with the same subs and is doing mid to upper 50's at the kick(u wasnt at the last show manny threw )

Getting "beaten" by the Aura is totally acceptable. The 15 I have sounds really good and I'll take Jim's word for it on the 12" comparisson. The Aura MR series are very very well put together speakers.

Just wanted to throw the bold parts in there. I should have known better to post that since this place likes to deal in absolutes.

Both Aura and SI are well worth the money put into them, so it's only natural that the Aura had "beat" the Mag in some way since it's nearly twice the cost of one.

Electrodynamic: Tell me, on your 15 does water like to condense on the motor and basket? Just speculating, my RPM series 10s collect moisture like crazy. The friggin aluminum alloy stuff in the basket, cone, and motor keeps them 5-10 degrees colder than everything else, so water flocks to it. =\
