The cost of health care is going up so much because hospitals are forced by law to treat even the poorest and least likely to pay.

My solution is allow hospitals the right to refuse services to those who cant pay. Then prices will go down for the rest of us.

I don't beleive in anything socialized. I agree with faulkton. Nothing is free, and it is sad how many people try to get stuff for free. I know it is not this simple, but if you do not wish to be poor , then work to get out of it and take the risks necessary to not be poor. I believe this only because I come from a family where we had nothing, and couldn't afford to pay for heat, cars, etc. My dad worked 38 different jobs trying to support our family, then started his own business when we had nothing left to lose. He worked hard to keep it going, and today I am lucky enough to be where I am. My dad won't call it luck, he took risks others wouldn't and because of that he now makes more money.

Woah, sorry about the ranting. Summary: socialized anything FTL, work for what you get. To get money you need to take risks.

i see both sides of what some of yall are saying...

i dont think that people should expect the government to provide for them...but then again, if the government is not helping its people out, what are we paying taxes for?

and also, im sure counties with subsidized health care are being paid for by the taxpayers, which im not saying thats bad or good, but the way i see it, everyone helps everyone to make the country as a whole better off....
