So I went from a '93 325i to a '99 accord

The accords a V6 EX Coupe, and the stock alternator has ~80amps.

If I installed an optima yellow top in addition to the big 3, would it be able to handle my equipment?

By handle i mean nice stable voltage, and no headlight dimming.

Here's what i currently have sitting in my room

1 15" DVC TC-3000

1 sundown 1500d

1 set of 6.5 Rainbow Germ comps

1 Diamond D7152 amp

I'll be running 150W to each door @ 4ohms, and will be wiring the TC-3k in parallel to get a 1 ohm load.

What do you guys think?

i have a 05civic with an 80amp stock alt, though a red top in the back.

voltage is pretty stable depending on how much is being drawn from the amps on what ever music is being listened to. while driving voltage will stay in the 13.8-14.2 area with music playing and slight dimming. sitting at a stop light voltage can drop into mid 11's after a semi long period of time.

it will be fairly stable but a higher output alt is really needed.

I've got a 98 4 door, and I was under the impression the alternator was 105 amps. Either way, I've got an Xtant X603, and an X1001, second battery, plus all the extras running in my car without any problems. I've owned it since it had 6000 miles, and it now has 142000, with the stock alternator.

I would install it and see what happens, unless you just want to spend some extra money.

well..

BMW is a '93 and has 220k miles on it. needs maintenance every other month which costs TOO much. Honda is a '99 and only has 60k miles flat on it.

figured might as well take the honda. but thanks for the input guys.

Then sell me the bmw for dirt cheap. I have hook-ups on repairs here. lol. I need a daily driver.
