i think he just used all those rf ones and put em together lolWtf is that 5ft long amp? lol
Like said above, its 5 RF amps linked together. The picture below is the amps with the links removed. Once I have my whole set together I can make it about 7 feet long. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gifWtf is that 5ft long amp? lol

The only ones of this group I purchased new were two of the punch200x2's. Bought them as a pair from the local B&M. Out the door was about $1000 for the pair, advertised as 100x2 watts @ 4ohm. The birth sheets read close to 500 watts bridged. So they cost me about $1 a watt, but that was retail minus abit for sorta knowing a guy. That was uhm... 1996.audioholic how much were those rf amps you have brand new, not like $200-$500 like today were they?
The heatsinks can be physically linked together to appear as thought it is one large amp, when in reality its several smaller amps. The amps do not link together in any way like 'strapping' amps, just aesthetically. I have to admit though, I usually told people it was 'my amp', as in one. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/suave.gif.858fc102f7646e678ee8af7e1fbc41d1.gifThey can link together?
I had one in 2003 the 401S, got it for $250 at Best Buy if it wasn't on sale it would have been $350, birthsheet said 428 rms, that amp powered my Kicker 03 model cvr 12" dvc 4 ohm sub real nice in a sealed box, that was prolly my best setup i ever had that year actually my best setup ever was all put in a 93 grand am. i LOVED that amp, it never shut down ever, had very clean sound i was amazed cuz i'd always run cheap amps my old one before that RF one was a Jensen lol. lol at that analogy and the heater and house. All of them... Cant compare these to the new RF stuff, as I haven't owned an RF amp since, well, these. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif Always been solids amps for me, no complaints with them. I even like the spartan look of them after all these years, classy. Like an old heater out of your grandmother's house... but cool. Yes I realize that makes no sense.
Makes sense. Makes the setup look **** good.Back in the day manufacturers used to sell amp links, or spacers that were just a small slice of heatsink you could put between two amplifiers to make them look like one large amplifier. He has several amps and links joined together.
Not to mention, it hides all the wires, and makes building an amp rack easy as cake.Makes sense. Makes the setup look **** good.
