so I want to port my box

Being that Im stuck with the Type S's and my box for a little bit let me run this past you guys.

Internal on my box is 1.4 per sub. Its a sealed enclosure with a baffle separating each sub from one another. Will porting it(properly) help me gain some output and better low end response? The specs on the SWS12D4's call for a 1.4 cube box per sub ported and 1.2 if its sealed so I think Im ok on the size. Next is if its do able, do I port each chamber or knock down the wall and port at the end with a slot? Any help would be greatly appreciated. They are being run with a PPI BA 2600.1D at 4 ohms right now. Id like to run them at 1 ohm if I do this. Thanks again

Port takes away air space. You could try it. But if you knock out the center of the box their is really no going back. Why are you stuck with the box?

Nope wont work youll end up with something worse than a pre fab ported. Just wire to 1 ohm why are you at 4?

Knock out the center wall and have a single chamber with a single external port or just leave the wall and have 2 external ports

Thats what im getting at^^^ if your box REALLY is 1.4 per sub you can do external ports and it might work

whats this all about? and I just upgraded my wiring to the amps and didnt want to push it on the 8 gauge I had, now I have 4 and feel safer about it

If you have enough space then you could run an external aero port. It'll work but you will have a big long tube sticking out of 1 side of your box.
