so i think i blew my subs

1) check all glue joints and spiders on the woofer 2) Re-ground the amp and rear battery 3) set gains on amp using DMM and tutorial 4) check box for air leaks, loose joints

def gonna re do the ground when i get off work tonight..im leaning toward that..cause the power light flickers on the amp..so ill def re-ground tonight and let you guys know if that fixed it..cause the subs sounded great with the power..didnt pop..no smell..handled the power well..and if the ground does fix imma take it over to my buddys and try his amp on my sub and see what it really is

1000rms dirty power on a single jlw6v2....may be your problem right there...jl's arent loud speakers so giving them way over their rated rms value is not smart. plus im sure you have stock electrical. your speakers r blown because 1 you over powered them, 2 you have stock electrical, 3 your voltage dropped too low and 4 you sent them nasty power.

Yup, stock electrical system blows subs.

well i dont believe its the subs..im thinking its the RCAs. cause they feel a lil loose and when i move them the popping gets worse

i regrounded the amp and rear battery , and changed the sub and still the same issue

indeed hifonics are overrated sadly.. that amp probably puts out around 16 or 1700 >

well i found the problem..i had a inline fuse holder form the front battery to the rear battery..it popped and the amp was only running off the battery in the back and ran the battery down..now its bangin pretty nice!
