Yea as the title says i got laid off. Plant manager just walked up to me today and said "I got to lay you off Chris." At first i was like ok, but it started to sink in after a while and i started thinking about my bills. But it sucks being laid off. There were like 7 other people that got laid off today as well. I always showed up to work on time and did my job as asked of me.

So now im on the prowel for a new job right now and found something good, and its what im going to school for.

Anybody else b een laid off? This economy is killing me

Yes I have been there. It sucks, but with good will something will surface.

i get laid off everyother week. but they bring me back of course. but seriously cash jobs are where it is at. i live in MW so in the summer lawn care(like 20-25 bucks a pop adds up really fast with like 10-15 accounts, plus you work like 6 hours a week.)In the Winter Snow removal.

so 8 ppl today? if there was only 16 employees, it may qualify for a plant closing and you could collect right away, instead of having to wait. But either way, good luck on your new career.

Im sure it wasnt your first job, and your next one wont be your last. Best way to increase income is to job jump every 2-3 years. Thats usually how long it takes a company to figure out your useless, but if you move to a new company, it will take them a while to catch on to you.
