So, I dropped my wife's laptop......

....and broke the fucking thing. Won't turn on. Nothing. Dead.

So, I probably need to just buy her a new one (her laptop was pretty old, not worth putting any real //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/greedy.gif.5a53e6246569d7ab79867170f3b06629.gif into).

But, not being much into computers anymore I don't really know where to look for decent laptops on the cheap, or what cheap laptops are actually decent.

Looking to spend around $350 or so. Refurb is okay. For the most part don't want to buy used off forms or egay. Doesn't need to be anything too fancy; Mainly just used for web browsing & Microsoft Office type stuff, but needs a decent processor/RAM as I'll hopefully be running some audio software on it. Must be XP/XP Pro.....no Vista.

Agreed on the looking on newegg for an acer. They are quite cheap shity comp but they do what u need them to do

fujitsu or knock off brands. Acers are cheap, but they are great for those that are on a budget.

True just not what most people look for in a good computer. I have worked on aN acer before and I wasn't too impressed but overall they work for what ever basic things you do on a computer
