yea... thats BACK in the day, when i was still active duty... made staff, and got out... still in the reserves now, just put on tech (making rank in the reserves takes FOREVER), but just cuz my civilian job requires it (civilian contractor for the DOD)

The only time a half a year has ever meant anything to me is when I was 15 1/2 because (at least here) that's the earliest age at which you can get your permit, then 6 months later (16th birthday) you can get your license.
