Some of us suffer from the rear view mirror getting all kinds of out of whack from the bass. I managed to get around that problem with some scrap wood/jig saw, silicone, a single ziptie, and duct tape......
made a sloppy little T shaped brace out of the wood and zip tied it tightly to the arm of the mirror. Then using 2 small pieces of wood and a balls load of silicone i glue the mirror into place. After being tested and passing flawlessly, i did a layer of dark grey duct tape around the outside. The silicone i think is absorbing a bit of the shock because it i can see fairly clearly through the mirror on even the more violent bass notes.
the backside of the mirror has some duct tape adhesive goop solidified onto it from a previous attempt at fixing the problem a few months back. eventually i may also go with a black colored duct tape for the outer layer or do something else creative. for the time being I'm content
Everything said and done, absolutely amazing

i think it looks pretty good considering the production. discuss
