So, anyones car not start today?

why on earth would i pay for that crap when i can get better stuff from my work cheaper?
like what, majority of synthetic oils aernt synthetic, Mobil1 sued someone a while back for advertising as full synthetic but their oil wasnt and lost, so they changed their formula. Had this long *** discussion on another forum a while ago. Alot of guys ar running Rotella now as its one of the only oils left with zinc in it.

I had to replace the Yellow Top I had a few months ago...I really need to put a low-voltage cutoff switch in there, after six years what finally killed it permanently was the idle current drawn by the radios //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

Just have a cheap generic one in now, temporary until next year when I can finally put something real in there...hoping Powermaster makes a Group 65 //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

You've got to be kidding, EFI (direct injection) is the best invention in the past 40 years besides fleshlights.
Maybe it's the Luddite in me, but there's something warm and fuzzy about carburetion //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/tongue.gif.6130eb82179565f6db8d26d6001dcd24.gif//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

you mean IOD (ignition off draw)? I just put my car in the yard for the winter on the battery tender (still need a cover though). Get one of these.

cheapest I found and yes it does work, even if you drive your car frequently just mount it and plug/unplug takes a sec.

I don't have access to outside power at my apartment complex //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif I'm thinking about getting a solar panel with a small charge controller, though...mount it inside the windshield, at least it'd keep things topped off for when I don't drive for a couple weeks. I have several two-way radios installed that draw a couple mA even when powered off...when I'm smart I just pull the main fuse that they're on if I know I'm going to be parked for a while, but sometimes, I need a low-voltage idiot switch //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

All of you quoting the wind chill stop, it doesn't matter, wind chill is a human factor, it is how it feels to us. A low wind chill means the wind is blowing faster, it will cool things down faster, but will not cool them below the actual temperature out. If is 0* out the wind chill could be -100* but nothing left out will ever get below 0*.

Anyway, I have never had a problem with mine even with everything turned on in up to around -15* weather.

I use a solar panel for my car as I'm usually driving a company vehicle and leave my car with the alarm on for weeks at a time. . I have not had a dead battery since it was purchased, so I assume it is working. I have yet to take a DMM to it to verify.

For the record I wasn't quoting wind chill when I said it was +14, it's -2 today and it started fine, hit -14 a few days ago and no troubles either.
